Yes, I think there is a connection between morality and government. We elect government officials to control and regulate the aspects in which we live and expect them to hold their positions with integrity and morality. Although there have been numerous times in history that such people have failed to to do so. For example, Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, and Elliot Spitzer.

I agree. Ther are times in historoyo that our leaders have not upheld the morals that we expect them to, but I guess that goes along with them being human. But when they do commit an immoral act, we are quick to point it out and do our best, as citizens, to punish the actions and prevent them from happening again.
